Happy that you are here! I hope it will be a great experience for you.
Rather than waiting for members to contact you, I suggest a more proactive approach. You can search the member database for those in your area by clicking on Social in the menu and then Member Directory.
I also encourage you to complete your Profile page. It helps others to understand your situation, your goals and resources that you have found in your area. All threads will eventually sink to the bottom of the pile, but your page will always be readily available and can be updated at any time.
I will move your message to its own thread. That will help clarity in that responses will be for this message.

Strange that I moved my response to here also, but it doesn’t appear.
Anyway, yes, the Profile page has more importance than people suspect. I tend to update mine once or twice a year. Things change, hopefully for the better, but nonetheless there is change. I think what’s important is to periodically look back and compare that to the current situation. Many times we don’t see progress. It’s like living with kids versus seeing them once a year. Only when the contact is infrequent do we fully understand the changes that have taken place. But, often when we do notice change, it is surprising.
The reason I mentioned searching the database is that many trans people live in isolation. That’s a sad thing because having a sense of community is such a powerful thing. There is strength in numbers and it’s a reminder that there others like us. That will always be a positive experience and tends to have a good influence on our mental health.
