Okay, A little whoops here. So I’m laying on the couch in my wrap around skirt and glitter top, earrings, necklace, bracelet… and out of the corner of my eye, I see the postal  delivery woman climbing the front stairs. She waved through the window, and didn’t seem to be shocked in any way, but I do live in a small town of just over a thousand.

Somehow I would feel better if I were in Toronto or a larger Center. I’m sure the word is going to spread fairly quickly. Thank God it was not signature required LOL. I don’t think I could have handled that.

I guess I need a little reassurance that my life is not about to end

If there is one thing I’ve learned is that we are over-worriers.  Most things we fear are in our mind.  You may find you have a new ally from this or that she couldn’t see you that well.  She was doing her job so she may not have even been paying that close attention to you for it to register.  Believe it or not, people aren’t running around suspecting everyone they meet may be trans.  Hope this helps.

It does, thanks. After the fact, I realized that even if a few snicker, they are not the ones who matter to me in life. I will probably never go into town dressed, but this is my house, and if I want to lounge in womens’ wear, get used to it!!

I would think it would be unacceptable to USPC to violate one’s privacy. Part of being an American is that right however uncertain in these digital times. I can’t even lounge around the house. Got an unsupportive gf. I’m a smidge jealous 🙂❤️

It’s too bad your girlfriend can’t get behind you on this, Shanda. I’m sure you are right about privacy,  though I’m sure they share within their own ranks. I’m ok with it.

      I’m in Canada,  eh…. 🙂

I remember coming out and one of my c.i.s. (bio girls) gave me the best advise I use every day. She said “Just walk around and go about your business like you used to! to many trans people look around for approval and all the galking and stares  they actually attract themselves. ” I now do just that and realized that all  of my worries of acceptance self righteousness  were just a waste of time. My life, my world and no one has rained on my day because it is mine to enjoy.

I like all the comments about just take a deep breath, and go about your business like you have been doing it forever. We do tend to over-worry and over-think things too much. Other people have too much of their own issues in life to give two spits about us anyway And if they have a problem; well, I guess it’s ‘their’ problem. A little ‘mind over matter’; I don’t mind, because they don’t matter. Yes, they matter, as do we all, but that helps me just relax and go about my day as if I’m the last woman on earth. Oh, wouldn’t that be FUN! Hugs, Michelle
