Taking Estradiol after heart attack.

Hello all; have as nyone been ok’d by there cardiologist to continue to take estradiol after having a heart attack?

I am 68 been on e for 6 months.

I started my process through VA. First with counseling and that led to me getting a VA Dr. And then I was given a cardiac Dr. Through community care. And finally got a endocrinologist through C. C. In Dec my counselor approved the HRT and the process started that led to now.

I have my appointment this week on the 17th with my endocrinologist for starting HRT. I have had a couple heart attacks and open heart surgery. And have 3 stints. It has taken several months for my Dr’s and cardiologist to run test and labs and finally decide to let things move forward to this point. And they plan to monitor things closely.

Thanks so much for your response.  I had started E back in September 1, had not been taking my statin’s for several months. Had a couple weeks of shoulder and back pain at end of December,  first we3 January.  Finally went to emergency room .  Wound up getting one stent put in found out have really small arteries. Now on blood thinners and blood pressure medications.  Had gotten E @a gender clinic.  Now came out to shrink @VA. See cardiologist there tommorow to get ok for E from VA. Hope it goes Ok.  Take care Shiloh.
