Has anyone else used the Veterans Hospital for their MTF HRT?

My appointment is on the 4th of March and I’d like to know what to expect in push back or questions.

I’m 100% so I’m not worried about meds cost.

I didn’t know that the VA did help with transgender issues.

They do hrt, voice therapy and all… Except the operation.

But, they will do all follow up care after an operation.

I completed my entire lower program through the Ann Arbor, V. A. and U of Michigan’s “Gender services”..  (actually I am in Post-op now.  Is this your first visit to your General Practitioner or G/P? He/she will then refer you to a shrink for your first letter of recommendation for surgery,  from shrink to Endocrinologist, and PHD for second letter. If you’re in doubt drop me a Private message and let me know where you are in the program but in actuality Hun, the entire program is designed for a beginner’s/newbie’s so even if we don’t text each other,  jump in, strap up and enjoy the ride.  Huggz Tia

Lacey, I think there are quite a few that have engaged the VA system for transitioning. You may want to pop into the ChatRoom and ask around. Besides, it’s a wonderful way to get to know the others here. Hugs, Michelle
