    I am 68 and a retired teacher and pastor. I had gender affirmation surgery on 9/14/22. I have wanted to be female since the age of 6 but felt pressure to keep it secret until the age of 64. I have a wife experiencing advanced Alzheimer's. I have just joined an affirming congregation in Katy, TX.
