Nick Teich, PhD, LCSW, founded Camp Aranu’tiq in 2009 as a nonprofit organization. It began as a weeklong program in 2010 at a rented site with 40 campers, and has grown to serve over 650 campers each summer at its very own home in New Hampshire.
Camp Aranu’tiq was the first-ever summer camp established for transgender and non-binary/gender-nonconforming youth.
Besides being a member of the trans community and a social worker, founder and CEO Nick Teich spent 13 years as a camper, CIT, counselor, and camp administrator prior to starting Aranu’tiq in 2009. Nick works full-time, year-round on Camp Aranu’tiq/Harbor Camps along with Associate Director of Operations Eric Knudsen, Director of Development Ruth Lindner, and Facilities Manager Steve Jaeger. The campers and staff are Harbor Camps’ only focus and passion 365 days a year!

We provide support and information on all aspects of gender reassignment, for the general community and people who are experiencing difficulty with their gender identity. Membership is available to people who have changed their gender role or who intend to change their gender role in the near future and/or are in a recognized gender reassignment. Membership Current Membership is $30.00 single, $50.00 per couple. Membership includes a reduction of the luncheon costs and includes 12 issues of the Associations Newsletter ‘ATSAQ Update’. In addition any donations of $2.00 or over are tax deductible. Luncheons The Australian Transgender Support Association of QLD (ATSAQ) holds its monthly luncheons on the last Saturday of each Month (except December). At these activities one can enjoy a lunch and a general get-together with mostly people who are or who have transitioned. The luncheons are held in a friendly back yard outdoor home setting and have recently had over 30+ attending. Current costs are $15 for visitors which includes Lunch, and DIY tea and coffee. You are welcome to bring any nibbles as well and of course your own personal beverage. You do not have to be a member to attend the luncheons. Founded in 2003, the Transgender American Veterans Association is a grassroots organization that advocates for the equality of transgender veterans and active duty service members to receive fair and equal treatment in areas such as healthcare, benefits, and open transgender military service. We help veterans change their name and gender within the Department of Veteran affairs, update their DD 214 name and characterization of discharge, and provide services such as our transgender support locator, which offers local support for transgender persons. TAVA is committed to equal rights for all veterans.
TAVA is active by having our voice heard at key VA and DoD high level meetings. Our role as an organizational plaintiff with Lambda Legal and the Transgender Law Center has increased awareness and demanded answers from the VA regarding transition-related surgeries. Daily, we assist Veterans in coming out to their doctors, educating VA staff on the VA directive for transgender care, and guiding those in need of updating their DD-214 form. We also provide community and comradeship through our membership and social media platforms. Anyone can become a member of TAVA by donating any amount from $1 and upwards. The money raised goes directly to helping transgender Veterans and active duty service members. Our board of directors do not get paid, as we are an all volunteer board.

Bran Castle is a castle in Bran, 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Brașov. It is a national monument and landmark in Transylvania. The fortress is on the Transylvanian side of the historical border with Wallachia, on road DN73.
Commonly known outside Transylvania as Dracula’s Castle, it is often referred to as the home of the title character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. There is no evidence that Stoker knew anything about this castle, which has only tangential associations with Vlad the Impaler, voivode of Wallachia, the putative inspiration for Dracula. Stoker’s description of Dracula’s crumbling fictional castle also bears no resemblance to Bran Castle.
The castle is now a museum dedicated to displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. Tourists can see the interior on their own or by a guided tour. At the bottom of the hill is a small open-air museum exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures (cottages, barns, water-driven machinery, etc.) from the Bran region.
Reservations are recommended but not necessary. Guests not remaining over night should leave an hour before sunset.

“Nail and Hair Salon – great service; friendly staff – definitely “Trans-” friendly. Spent 6 hours there today – second visit in 2 months – got there 2 hours late for 1st appointment (I did call and ask if they could still get me in with each new unexpected delay) Might be pricey – I honestly have no idea – but I adore the deluxe treatment package for hands and or feet – OMG so good – the nail tech could be a huge successful masseuse. The hair -WOW- no more gray – perfect match to my eyebrows – the scalp and hair treatments where amazing. THEN SHE STRAIGHTENED MY HAIR! Never ever thought I’d see it – I wanted to cry it was like a dream cone true – and turns out my hair is almost half again longer when its not all natural curly; comes down past my nipple line instead of just below my shoulders. God bless these people – Oh did I forget to mention they have Wine and even make mimosas if you ask. We provide free, confidential and voluntary support sessions for transgender youth aged 25 years and under. Separate sessions for parents and family members take place at the same location (different room), at the same time. We provide a safe space for youth to gather together. Through facilitated conversations youth are provided with the information, resources and advice they need to transition successfully.At the same time, in a separate room, parents and family members of transgender youth also meet to share their own experiences, offer support and to let others know that they are not alone.
Our aim is to provide youth and their family members with safe, supportive and open environments so they can receive much-needed emotional and practical support as they navigate this life transition. Our group facilitators strive to tailor sessions to the needs and circumstances of those in attendance.
We provide support groups for trans and gender-questioning youth and a separate group for their parents/guardians in Port Coquitlam on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, in Burnaby on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, and in Maple Ridge the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. All groups are facilitated and meet from 6-8pm.
