This is the first post of many more to come. Each week we will put the spotlight on one of our Local Places. We will list the name of the Local Place, a description, and the link on TGH where you can find out more. These will be listed totally at random, and we encourage you to visit them and spread the great ‘TGH Cheer’.

      I thought I posted this last week…..

      Hamburger Mary’s Denver

Hamburger Mary’s is an open-air bar and grille for open-minded people, serving a full menu of tasty items. Big and juicy gourmet burgers, yummy apps, soups, salads and entrees, and an extensive bar menu featuring craft beers and cocktails.

Hamburger Mary’s offers a flamboyant dining experience, along with nightly entertainment from our “Dining with the Divas” drag shows and charity “HamBingo Mary’s” to MaryOke-Karaoke and trivia nights.

The original Hamburger Mary’s was a funky, friendly dive put together on a shoe-string budget. With humble beginnings as an eclectic late-night beer and burger joint, Hamburger Mary’s quickly established itself as a staple in the LGBT community. The mismatched flatware & dishes, kooky artwork and antiques added to the kitsch and charm of the place. It was an “open-air bar and grille for open-minded people” (a motto we still use today), where everyone was welcome. The staff was always friendly and personable, and the food was always fresh and made-to-order.

      Camp Aranu’tiq

Nick Teich, PhD, LCSW, founded Camp Aranu’tiq in 2009 as a nonprofit organization. It began as a weeklong program in 2010 at a rented site with 40 campers, and has grown to serve over 650 campers each summer at its very own home in New Hampshire.

Camp Aranu’tiq was the first-ever summer camp established for transgender and non-binary/gender-nonconforming youth.

Besides being a member of the trans community and a social worker, founder and CEO Nick Teich spent 13 years as a camper, CIT, counselor, and camp administrator prior to starting Aranu’tiq in 2009. Nick works full-time, year-round on Camp Aranu’tiq/Harbor Camps along with Associate Director of Operations Eric Knudsen, Director of Development Ruth Lindner, and Facilities Manager Steve Jaeger. The campers and staff are Harbor Camps’ only focus and passion 365 days a year!

      Ulta Beauty Medford

At ULTA Beauty, we have been visionaries since day one. Seeing possibilities is what we did when, nearly three decades ago, we brought together beauty in a way that no one else had imagined. Our special world of “all things beauty, all in one place” immediately connected with our beauty lovers and how they actually shop in our stores and online. And it forever changed the game.

Today we’re in an exciting time as culture is shifting and beauty is evolving. As we head into our next chapter, we will continue to lead the same way we started – as visionaries in beauty and retail. By celebrating the meaningful role beauty plays in our lives, redefining how beauty is portrayed and increasing support of trailblazing causes, we’ll bring new possibilities to life and drive more meaningful purpose for our brand, our company and our guests. Together, we will change what beauty means to the world.
